About the Company
Since 1980, Harvard-Radcliffe Summer Theater has both provided a creative outlet for some of Harvard’s brightest artistic minds and delighted the Cambridge community with its stagings of works by celebrated playwrights.
HRST is a self-sustaining, student-run theater company in residence at the Loeb Drama Center each summer. We are not funded by Harvard University or the A.R.T. and rely on our ticket sales as well as your gracious donations to fund our productions and support the company each year.
Past seasons have included works by Caryl Churchill, Tony Kushner, Wendy Wasserstein, Christopher Durang, William Shakespeare, Sarah Ruhl, David Auburn, Eugène Ionesco, Jason Robert Brown, Patrick Marber, Joe DiPietro, Oscar Wilde, Peter Shaffer, Neil LaBute, Richard O’Brien, and many more (including several Harvard students and graduates). An archive of HRST websites from past years is available here.

Frequently Asked Questions
What’s the best way to get to the theater?
We recommend using the T when possible to avoid the hassle and expense of parking -- The Loeb is just a short walk from the Harvard stop on the Red Line. Driving is also possible; the Church Street parking lot is closest to the theater. Street parking availability varies depending on the day.
Is the theater accessible?
The Loeb Drama Center is fully wheelchair accessible. An automatic door can be found near the corner of Brattle and Hilliard Streets; the theater’s entrance is at sidewalk level. Further information on accessibility can be found here. Please reach out to [email protected] or call us at (833) HRST-TIX with any questions on accessibility.
Ticket prices range from $15-20 for General Admission, and $5-7.50 for Students. Please visit our ticketing website to purchase tickets or call (833) HRST-TIX or email [email protected] for more information.
How can I purchase tickets?
Tickets can be purchased online and over the phone up to two hours before each performance or at the theater before the show. You may choose to have your tickets held at will call or print them at home. Harvard-Radcliffe Summer Theater's box office opens an hour before each performance.
Note that the American Repertory Theater's box office, which can also be found at the Loeb Drama Center, does not sell tickets to Harvard-Radcliffe Summer Theater's productions.
I can no longer make it to a show for which I bought tickets. Can I get a refund / exchange my tickets for tickets to another night?
Unfortunately, we are unable to offer refunds for ticket sales. However, we may be able to offer exchanges up to 24 hours before the show depending on ticket availability. Please call the box office at (833) HRST-TIX for more information.
